Challenge #2~~~~Dropbox

Dropbox provides cloud based storage that is accessible from multiple devices.

How Tos:
  • Dropbox is a cloud storage space for you to store files, back up files, and share files between and among multiple devices. You get 2 GB for free.

Challenges:
#1 Set up a Dropbox account, link it to multiple devices, and move documents among devices.
1. Use a web browser (Safari on your iPad) or Safari/Firefox/Chrome/Etc. on a computer to set up a Dropbox acount.  www.dropbox.com
2. On your iPad, link the Dropbox app to your account.   This video will help.
3. Install the Dropbox application on your computer and link it to your account.
  • Choose Install from the dropbox web site to choose the appropriate version for your computer. 
  • Here's a video to help you link your computer to Dropbox.  
4. Move an item (create something in Educreations or Paperport Notes or antoerh app else) into your Dropbox and view it on another device.  Often when you see the Share Icon, you'll have an option to move something to Dropbox. 

#2 Enable Camera Upload so that photos from your iPad upload automatically.
 #3 Optional Challenge- Share a folder with someone else with a Dropbox account.
